Race Training


Join Worcester Fitness Running Team for the 7-week Training Program for the Holden Road Race 5k on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018. Race begins at 8:00 AM. Certified 5K course, food, music, and prizes. Runners, joggers, walkers, and strollers welcome.


You'll be coached by Worcester Fitness Running Coach Bob Bourassa, USA Track & Field: Level One Coach.


Bob Graduated from Keene State College, where he ran Cross-Country and Track.  He has 23 years of experience working as an Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer, and 13 of those years have been at Worcester Fitness. 


Bob is a National Strength and Conditioning Association: Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and is a USA Track & Field: Level One Coach.  He has run more than 40 marathons including Boston, Disney, Rock n Roll Arizona, and Rock n Roll San Antonio. 


With his knowledge and experience, Bob can help runners overcome training obstacles and reach their goals.

A detailed 7-week training program


The runs will begin and end at Worcester Fitness, 440 Grove Street in Worcester.

Courses and distances will vary week to week

The program begins Saturday, October 6 and runs through Saturday, November 17th.

Runs will begin at 9 am.

The road race itself is Thanksgiving Morning, November 22nd at 8 am.
