Daniella Wittern Bush

Certified Personal Trainer

A lifelong athlete, Daniella fell in love with yoga over a decade ago, when a knee surgery made her give up competitive soccer and marathon running. Initially attracted to fast-paced vinyasa classes that mirrored the endorphin rush of racing, Daniella soon found that yoga could also slow down and balance out the intensity, stress, and screen-bound postures and movement patterns of the rest of her life. Her yoga practice became a daily ritual of peace that complemented the rest of her training, whether in the gym or out in nature. Together, these movement practices have buoyed her through a Ph.D., two pregnancies, and the joys and chaos of life with a first grader and toddler. When she isn't teaching, writing, or cooking, Daniella is probably outdoors hiking or gardening, or "playing yoga" with her two little ones. Coming from a long history of athletics and injury, Daniella’s teaching is based in movement science and neuroscience, and fuses functional strength work from a variety of movement modalities with the mindfulness and restorative practices of the yoga tradition. She has extensive training in teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga and fitness, chair yoga, yoga for children, Yoga Nidra, and self-myofascial release. She is also a Yoga Alliance certified provider of continuing education for yoga teachers, and as a movement educator is the co-creator of the Movement with a Brain online course for movement teachers. As a movement and mindfulness guide, Daniella teaches her clients how to hone in on and respond to their body’s needs, just as they are showing up right now, so that they leave each session feeling stronger, more confident, and deeply at home in their own bodies. At Worcester Fitness, catch one of her group classes on the Saturday yoga rotation, work with her on sustainable & functional movement patterns as a personal trainer, or book her for private yoga sessions to work on mobility and strength through mindfulness.
